The Opportunity We are looking for an intermediate to senior level Electrical Engineer to help shape the success of our high performing and collaborative Power team Melbourne.
The primary focus of this role is to undertake earthing system design, modelling and testing for our projects.

You will bring a mix of your technical expertise and design to deliver successful projects and client outcomes.
In this role you will: Prepare earthing and bonding designs from feasibility, through concept and ultimately to full detail design; Attend site and conduct readings and measurements Foster the technical development of junior engineers On-going engagement and liaising with our clients; Draw upon your own technical expertise, and those of the broader team to deliver high-quality technical advice to our clients; Drive delivery excellence across the Power team What we'll like about you Your technical skills are based on solid fundamentals and have been proven through the delivery of robust and innovative power engineering designs.
You will be an experienced problem-solving Electrical Engineer and be comfortable leading teams and mentoring junior engineers.
You will also have varied Electrical Engineering skills which will allow you to contribute to the Power business in a broader sense.
Preferably, you will possess consulting experience and have proven capability across a range of the following areas: Conceptual and Detailed Design in Earthing and Bonding Apply high level conceptual, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills in the development of electrical earthing and bonding design solutions EMC Assessments Earthing Design for HV Transmission Lines and Substations Demonstrate earthing and bonding design experience, preferably including knowledge of traction system earthing and stray current mitigation methods Embrace being or becoming eminent in the field of earthing and bonding and provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members Knowledge of relevant regulatory, engineering legislation, codes of practice and standards associated with earthing, bonding and lightning protection Reliability Assessments Lightning Protection Design Stakeholder engagement, management and networking Knowledge and practical experience with earthing system test methodologies Significant experience and knowledge of the CDEGS software package Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering To be part of this dynamic and busy team we're looking for someone with drive, energy, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enthusiasm.
Previous experience of working in a team environment are a must have for this role, along with the ability to lead and manage multiple tasks.
