McCosker currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Senior Financial Accountant to join our team based in Brisbane or Gladstone, Queensland.
* Full Time - Permanent Position
* Monday to Friday - 40 hours
About the Role:
* Play a key role in the evolution of the groups finance function as we look to support the digital transformation of the McCosker group.
* Facilitate the monthly financial accounting process across the operational and investment group
* Preparation of financial reports in accordance with all relevant regulatory requirements for multiple entities
* Facilitate the external audit and interface with external accountants
* Responsibility to set and maintain relevant procedures and the financial accounting manual.
* Support the broader finance team with Project and asset accounting.
* Prepare and lodgement of McCosker Groups' regulatory obligations including BAS, FBT, tax returns, ABS, QBCC, and PTRS.
* Working with the CFO, support the reporting and decision making process for the investment group entities across a wide portfolio of assets.
Candidate Requirements:
* High accuracy, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
* Proficient in Financial and Management accounting and reporting
* Advance MS Office skills, in particular Excel and Power BI
* Demonstrated experience in ERP systems with implementation experience highly regarded

* Own the balance sheet and optimise balance sheet controls and reporting to meet management and audit needs
* Support the border finance team and financial controller streamline and improve the month end timeline
* All regulatory items compliant
* Finance management plan and procedures documented
