Account Manager or Senior Account Manager
Polite Playground is a growing experiential and digital agency creating interactive brand experiences for events, activations and campaigns.
We work with brands and agencies to design and deliver experiences that blend technology and live events. From large-scale event activations to interactive digital experiences and custom builds, our work sits at the intersection of creative production, experiential marketing and digital innovation.
As our client portfolio continues to grow, we are expanding our client services team and are hiring an Account Manager and a Senior Account Manager.
Both roles sit at the centre of the agency and play a key role in ensuring our projects run smoothly, our clients are well looked after and our work continues to grow.
Account Manager
This role is ideal for a highly organised operator who enjoys managing projects, coordinating teams and delivering exceptional client experiences.
You will lead the day-to-day management of projects once a booking has been confirmed, ensuring the entire process runs smoothly from approval through to event delivery.
You will act as the central communication hub between clients and our internal team, keeping projects organised, timelines on track and everyone informed.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day communication with clients across multiple projects
* Manage projects from approved quote through to event delivery
* Build and manage timelines to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
* Coordinate with internal teams including event producers, designers, developers, operations and junior account staff
* Translate client requirements into clear internal briefs and project plans
* Proactively communicate updates and key information to clients
* Anticipate client questions and provide clear guidance throughout the project
* Manage logistics for event activations
* Coordinate casual event staff and ensure all operational requirements are covered
* Maintain exceptional attention to detail across all deliverables
About You
You are organised, proactive and confident managing multiple projects at once. You enjoy being the person who keeps everything running smoothly and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
You take ownership of your work and understand that strong client relationships are built through clear communication and reliable delivery.
Skills & Experience
* 2–4+ years experience in an agency, events, experiential or production environment
* Strong project management and organisational skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience coordinating teams or external staff
* Comfortable working with digital or technical projects
Experience working in a digital agency, experiential agency or events environment is highly regarded.
Senior Account Manager
This role is suited to someone who enjoys both client delivery and commercial growth.
As Senior Account Manager, you will manage key client relationships, convert inbound inquiries into new projects and identify opportunities to expand existing accounts.
You will work closely with the agency directors to support the agency's growth while ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
You will also mentor a junior sales or account team member and provide guidance to the broader team when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage key client relationships across campaigns and activations, ensuring projects run smoothly from proposal through to delivery
* Respond to inbound inquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed projects
* Prepare proposals, campaign concepts and detailed budgets for prospective clients
* Present ideas and solutions to clients and guide them through the sales process
* Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services within existing accounts
* Build strong client relationships that lead to repeat work and ongoing partnerships
* Maintain high standards of client communication and project execution
* Mentor and support account service and sales team members and provide guidance to the broader team
* Work with the directors to identify opportunities for growth across industries, events and client segments
* Maintain visibility across the agency's pipeline, upcoming projects and new business opportunities
About You
You are a commercially minded agency professional who enjoys winning new work and building strong client relationships.
You are confident managing client conversations, preparing proposals and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
You also understand how agencies operate and enjoy helping the team around you succeed.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of their work and manage up when needed. Our directors are actively involved in the business but do not micromanage day-to-day activity. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage their pipeline, client relationships and priorities.
Skills & Experience
* 4–6+ years experience in an agency, experiential, events or production environment
* Experience preparing proposals and campaign budgets
* Strong client relationship and communication skills
* Commercial awareness and confidence discussing budgets with clients
* Ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities at once
* Comfortable contributing to sales KPIs and revenue targets
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
Experience in experiential marketing, events, creative production or digital agencies is highly valued.
