Role Summary
This critical role supports our Head of the Corporate Finance and Planning in driving Capricorn's strategic and corporate planning activities, focusing on gathering, analysing, and interpreting business data to ensure Capricorn's strategic objectives are aligned and executed effectively.
The Corporate Planning Manager contributes to strategic portfolio management, business planning, performance monitoring, and benefits realisation management, providing actionable insights that enable senior leaders to make informed decisions.
Knowledge & Skills
* Expertise in organisational strategy development and reporting;
* Strong leadership, stakeholder management and adaptability to business change;
* Proficiency in business case writing, benefits tracking and financial modelling;
* Project Management, including methodology, deadline adherence and budgeting;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and generate actionable insights;
* Experience in strategic planning methodologies, including SWOT analysis, Balanced Scorecards, and scenario planning, coupled with proficiency in strategic planning tools, business intelligence software, and performance dashboards;
* Advanced MS Excel skills enabling accurate and efficient data analysis and reporting pared with strong reporting and data visualisation skills;
* Knowledge of benefits realisation management or portfolio management practices.
Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate planning, strategy, financial analysis, or portfolio management.
* Proven experience in data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting.
* Familiarity with strategic planning processes and portfolio management frameworks.
* Extensive experience within corporate field with proven success within market research, strategy and planning, customer experience and market segmentation, leading people and managing resources to deliver objectives.
Qualifications
* Qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field desirable.
