Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.
We're inviting applications to join our permanent workforce at RAAF Base Amberley as an Electrician. What You'll Do
* Responsible for undertaking electrical maintenance, repair and inspection tasks to ensure the safe and compliant operation of electrical systems and equipment across the base.
* Deliver high quality trade services, maintain WHS and environmental compliance, and work collaboratively with other trades and service providers to support PAS delivery.
* Provide responsive and professional trade services to internal and external stakeholders.
* Focus on improving the longevity of fixed plant & equipment.
* Maintain clear, professional communication regarding works and outcomes.
What You'll Bring
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
* Unrestricted QBCC Electrical Work Licence (QLD), or Electrical Licence (NSW) NSW.
* Electrical Testing and Tagging Certificate and White Card (desirable).
* Current Open Drivers Licence.
* Post‑trade experience in facilities or electrical maintenance and experience in electrical systems inspection, repair and preventative maintenance.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory).
