About The Role
In response to the massive investment in infrastructure in Perth, BG&E;’s Perth Civil team continues to grow and we are seeking an experienced and team-oriented Civil Designer to help build and grow our Civil Engineering capability. This is a great opportunity to grow your career in the field of civil engineering. Our Perth business provides civil and structural engineering services, among others, for transport infrastructure projects in a wide variety of markets. Our highly skilled technical experts are driven by a passion to help clients achieve their goals and improve society for today and future generations.
What To Expect Day To Day
- Undertake Civil Design requirements on various projects including but not limited to road design, earthworks, carparks, paths, intersections, drainage, traffic management and grade-separated interchanges.
- Deliver Civil Design model outputs to the requirements of clients, drafters and designers.
- Delivery quality and accurate model outputs in accordance with Civil standards and project requirements.
About You
- Working knowledge and understanding of Austroads, Australian Standards and Road Authority requirements to meet the relevant road geometry design.
- Be passionate about learning and seek feedback to ensure professional and technical career development.
- Good understanding of civil and road engineering principles, road geometry design process and road safety considerations and requirements.
- Proficient in the use of Open Roads Designer.
- Proficient in the use of drafting software packages such as AutoCAD and Microstation, including Vehicle tracking software.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the design and delivery of road and highway infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of BIM / DE requirements and deliverables.
- Effective communication skills.
