Our Engineering Construction division is currently seeking an experienced Fire Systems Package Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of a major power station construction project in Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale project delivering critical fire detection, protection and life safety systems across both operational and non-process infrastructure facilities. The role will initially be based in our Brisbane office before transitioning to site on a 2:1 roster.

Key Responsibilities
* Accountable for end-to-end delivery of the Fire & Gas Detection and Protection Package as a Turnkey scope
* Manage the delivery of fire systems packages across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
* Coordinate vendors, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure successful package execution
* Review and manage fire system designs, technical documentation and construction deliverables
* Manage battery limits and interface points
* Manage planning, scheduling, procurement and progress tracking activities
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards and relevant fire safety regulations
* Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams during project execution
* Lead Safety in Design, HAZID, CHAIR, HAZCON workshops
* Monitor and advise on safe work practices, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in Fire Systems Engineering or Package Engineering within mining, infrastructure, industrial or commercial projects
* Demonstrated experience in Hazardous area compliance (AS/NZS 60079), with Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, NFPA
* Strong understanding of fire detection, alarm, suppression and firewater systems
* Experience managing vendors and multidisciplinary project interfaces
* Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and fire compliance requirements
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline
* Valid right to work in Australia
