Berendsen Fluid Power is looking for a motivated and hands-on first-year Apprentice Fitter Machinist to join our Dandenong VIC branch.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys working with their hands and is keen to learn a practical trade. You don't need to have experience in hydraulics - we'll teach you the skills you need through a combination of on-the-job training, TAFE and support from experienced tradespeople.
What does a Fitter Machinist do?
A Fitter Machinist works with tools, machinery and mechanical components to help build, repair and maintain equipment. In our hydraulic workshop, this can include learning how to:
* use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely
* measure, inspect and prepare parts
* assist with fitting, assembling and repairing hydraulic components
* support basic machining tasks under supervision
* strip, clean and assess mechanical parts
* read drawings and follow job instructions
* work safely as part of a workshop team
As you progress through your apprenticeship, you'll build practical skills across fitting, machining, hydraulic repairs, component assembly and equipment maintenance.
