Your new company
Tradezone is Australia’s fastest growing electrical wholesaler, operating a national network of six high performing distribution centres, with more growth on the horizon. The business is scaling rapidly and investing heavily in its people, systems, and operational capability, and is now seeking a proven operations leader to help strengthen and expand its national footprint. This is an agile, dynamic environment where autonomy, practical decision making, and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
Your new role
As the National Operations Manager, you will lead, stabilise, and scale end to end operations across a multi site distribution network. Based at the Helensvale Head Office and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be a key driver of Tradezone’s next phase of growth.
This is a builder role, ideal for someone who enjoys creating clarity, structure, and capability in a fast growing business. You will design fit for purpose operational frameworks, implement national standards where they add value, and retain local agility where it matters.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing operational leadership across six existing distribution centres, plus future sites as the network grows
* Designing scalable systems, rhythms and operational frameworks that enable remote oversight and consistency
* Driving improvements in safety, operational performance, efficiency, and service delivery
* Developing and empowering site leaders and operational managers across the network
* Embedding strong decision making, clarity and accountability at every level
* Leading recruitment and workforce planning to ensure high calibre leadership across all sites
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have a track record of leading and scaling multi-site operations within a growing business. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and the inevitable “growth messiness” that comes with building something at pace. Above all, you bring a pragmatic, solutions focused mindset and a passion for developing others.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Experienced in scaling operations across multiple sites
* Skilled at building capability and developing leaders
* Comfortable and able to travel on a frequent basis to ensure smooth running of Distribution Centres
* Practical, not bureaucratic
* Comfortable designing frameworks that improve consistency without creating unnecessary rigidity
* Someone who believes in building systems that make the business less dependent on them over time
This role is not suited to:
* Heavy corporate or compliance only operators
* Leaders who impose rigid structures without understanding culture
* Short term fixers uninterested in developing people or building long term sustainability
What you’ll get in return
You’ll join a business in an exciting growth phase where your leadership will directly influence national expansion, operational maturity, and cultural strength. You’ll have the autonomy to build, create and lead, with strong executive backing. This is a career defining opportunity to shape a national operation and leave a long lasting impact.
