* Build and enforce QA governance frameworks, including quality gates, test strategy templates, and review mechanisms.
* Drive risk‑based testing, shift‑left practices, and early quality involvement in the delivery lifecycle.
* Lead quality assessments, readiness reviews, and go‑live quality sign‑off.

2. Automation & Engineering Excellence

* Own E2E automation roadmap for SCN (API, UI, integration, regression, performance).
* Oversee development of reusable automation frameworks and CI/CD integration (Azure DevOps preferred).
* Scale automation coverage across SCN programs to reduce cycle time and improve release frequency.
* Promote engineering best practices—mocking, service virtualisation, test data engineering, contract testing.

3. Delivery Leadership

* Manage quality delivery across multiple squads (onshore/offshore), ensuring predictable and on‑time releases.
* Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Solution Architects, and Engineering Managers.
* Oversee planning across SIT, E2E, UAT, and NFT (performance, resilience, failover).
* Drive early defect detection and lead defect governance forums for SCN leadership.

4. Stakeholder Management

* Engage SCN functional stakeholders (Inventory, Logistics, DC Ops, Store Ops, Last‑Mile, Central Ops).
* Present quality insights, dashboards, and release risk assessments to senior Coles leadership.
* Align QE outcomes with Coles' digital transformation and offshoring strategy.

5. Team & Capability Uplift

* Lead QE teams across ANZ, India, and global delivery centers.
* Hire, mentor, and develop QE talent with SCN domain expertise.
* Drive skill uplift in automation, performance testing, and SCN domain knowledge.

6. Continuous Improvement

* Establish quality metrics—defect trends, escape rate, automation ROI, test efficiency.
* Implement lessons learned and quality improvement programs.
* Optimize delivery costs via right‑shoring, automation, and process efficiencies.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

* Strong understanding of SCN systems (WMS, TMS, OMS, SAP eWM, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Microservices, APIs).
* Hands-on knowledge of API testing (Postman, RestAssured), UI automation (Selenium, Cypress), and integration testing.
* Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, Git, and cloud-based programs.
* Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter, Gatling) and monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk).

QE Leadership Experience

* 12+ years in QA/QE, with at least 4–6 years in QE leadership roles.
* Proven track record leading QE for large-scale SCN, retail, or eCommerce programs.
* Strong experience running complex SIT/E2E programs across distributed systems.
* Demonstrated ability to lead both onsite and offshore QE teams (50–150 team size preferred).

Soft Skills

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior business and tech leaders.
* Strong problem-solving, conflict management, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work in an Agile, fast-paced, multi-squad environment.
