The Cardiology Staff Specialist contributes equitably to the general clinical workload and provides services related to their sub-specialty interest, delivering high-quality specialist cardiology services for inpatient and outpatient care.
The Department of Cardiology is a cooperative integrated department incorporating Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology Ward, Cardiac Catheter Suite, and non-invasive testing unit, supporting state-wide services including tele-health.
The role involves:
* Consultant role in general cardiology and electrophysiology
* Providing inpatient and outpatient care to public and private patients
* Involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, quality improvement activities
Key duties include:
* Providing consultant service to inpatients and admitting patients under their care
* Conducting outpatient clinics in general cardiology and heart rhythm disorders
* Ensuring continuous quality improvement and systematic evaluation of opportunities for improvement

A remuneration package comprising base salary, allowances, and entitlements will be negotiated dependent on clinical experience and seniority. Salary points range from $216,300 to $296,640 with further increments available.
Additional allowances may include provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or allowance in lieu, continuing professional development, and others as per current Award.
