SA Ambulance are seeking a dynamic and skilled medical professional for the position of SAAS MedSTAR Retrieval Registrar.

Key Responsibilities: Perform clinical duties during retrieval operations, including stabilizing and safely transporting critically injured or ill patients by road, rotary wing, or fixed-wing aircraft within South Australia and occasionally interstate or overseas.
Maintain readiness of SAAS MedSTAR clinical equipment by participating in equipment checking procedures, demonstrating a sound understanding of medical equipment functions, troubleshooting problems, and contributing to the evaluation of new clinical equipment.
Contribute to SAAS MedSTAR's audit and quality assurance processes, including reviewing work practices, participating in daily case review meetings, presenting case studies, developing and reviewing policies and procedures, and participating in relevant research projects.
Provide high-level clinical advice and logistical coordination under the supervision of a Medical Retrieval Consultant, collaborating with SAAS MedSTAR Retrieval Nurse Clinical Coordinators, SAAS, RFDS, referring and receiving facilities, and other relevant stakeholders.
Promote a positive image of SA Ambulance Service's emergency retrieval portfolio (SAAS MedSTAR) by fostering professionalism, integrity, integration, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork, and contributing to the well-being of South Australians through participation in Counter Disaster activities.
Eligibility: You must hold a Bachelor of Medicine: Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as Medical Practitioner and satisfy mandatory registration requirements in accordance with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
