Newlife Church is a large, vibrant evangelical church with locations across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, committed to seeing more people, more like Jesus through discipleship, leadership development, church planting and healthy churches.
Newlife Robina is the largest location in the Newlife family and the central sending base of the movement. Each week hundreds gather to worship, encounter God and be formed as disciples.
We are seeking a Gatherings and Creative Pastor to help shape the spiritual and creative life of Newlife Robina and contribute to the creative culture of the wider Newlife Family of Churches.
This is a significant leadership role for a pastor who carries both theological depth and creative leadership, and who is passionate about crafting worship environments where people encounter Jesus and are formed for mission.
Working closely with the Lead Minister and Associate Pastor, this role will lead the vision and execution of Sunday gatherings while developing creative teams and strengthening worship culture across the church.
Key responsibilities include
* Leading and shaping Sunday gatherings at Newlife Robina (8am, 10:15am and 6pm)
* Setting the spiritual tone and creative direction of worship environments
* Developing and empowering worship, production and creative teams
* Providing creative leadership and alignment across the wider Newlife family
* Building sustainable planning rhythms that support excellence at gatherings
* Contributing to major church moments such as Easter, Christmas and key celebrations
* Collaborating with the Communications Director to align gatherings and digital communication
* Preaching and teaching within the life of the church
The successful candidate will bring
* A theological or ministry qualification (or equivalent ministry experience)
* Significant experience leading worship, creative or gatherings ministries in a church of comparable scope
* Proven ability to develop leaders and empower volunteer teams
* Strong strategic and organisational capacity
* Creative vision combined with operational clarity
* A heart for worship that forms disciples and mobilises people toward mission
* A deep commitment to Christ and to the mission of the church
This role is ideal for a leader who believes that the gathered church matters deeply — and who wants to help create environments where people encounter God, grow as disciples and are sent into the world on mission.
