An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated Production Leading Hand to join a well-established and respected Australian manufacturer with over 50 years of experience and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products to the food service and food manufacturing sectors.
In this hands-on role, you will play a vital part in overseeing daily production activities, supporting the team, and ensuring operational targets and quality standards are consistently met.
Role Overview
This is a varied role with tasks approximately split as follows:
30% forklift operation | 30% driving/deliveries | 40% general labouring and cleaning
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a tight warehouse environment
* Handle liquid-based products stored in IBCs, drums, and smaller containers
* Drive MR trucks and, occasionally, a manual ute for deliveries and collections in the Greater Brisbane and Gold Coast regions (tanker driving may be required)
* Perform general warehousing duties including goods receiving and dispatch
* Clean and maintain production equipment and factory facilities
* Support the manufacture and delivery of vegetable oil-based products
* Communicate effectively with team members to ensure adherence to established procedures and protocols
Skills & Attributes
We're looking for a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates:
* Previous experience in a factory, preferably in food production or a logistics/delivery setting
* A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently
* A careful and safety-conscious approach to all tasks
* Current Forklift Licence and MR Truck Licence (essential)
* Willingness to obtain a Food Handling Certificate (if not already held)
* High attention to detail and pride in maintaining cleanliness and organisation
* Flexibility to perform a variety of hands-on tasks, including cleaning IBCs and general labour
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to convey the importance of following established procedures
