Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).

This is not a remote working position and will be delivered fully on-site in Port Macquarie, Kempsey or Coffs Harbour.

What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of MNC Virtual Care is to reduce preventable admissions and decrease length of hospital stay through virtual Urgent Care delivery, early intervention and care navigation to people who have been identified as at risk of Emergency Department presentation and hospitalisation.

The Administrative Officer will provide a high level of administrative support to the MNC Virtual Care service. This role is responsible for all administrative functions relating to the day to day running of the care centre including; computer skills specifically MS Excel, patient registration and administrative data entry and data reconciliation, and answering telephone enquiries.

The Administrative Officer will provide timely and accurate administrative services for all staff in the Virtual Care team in line with current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

About you

Demonstrated capability in providing administrative support, underpinned by sound knowledge of general administrative procedures and strong competency in computer use and relevant software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams).

Proficient interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently and courteously with individuals at all levels, coupled with the capacity to work under broad supervision and contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team across a diverse range of tasks.

* Previous experience within a customer service environment
* Previous experience working in a contact centre is desirable but not essential. However, demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of calls and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment is important.
* Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and lateral thinking
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a passion to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Possess excellent work ethic and behaviour.
* Ability to clearly communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
* Ability to pick up and learn new systems quickly.
