About the Role
We are currently seeking a Carpenter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to work on a large, complex infrastructure project.
Job Description:
* Carpentry Work: Construct, install and dismantle formwork for concrete pours (e.g., bases, footings, and foundations). Build and install temporary structures, scaffolding, and supports for SMP works.
* Site Management: Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Measure, cut, and assemble timber or metal structures with precision.
* Safety Procedures: Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Operate carpentry tools, machinery, and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
* Construction Card: Whit Cared (Construction Card).
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or SMP construction environments.
* Technical Drawing: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
* Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in using hands tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
* Safety Training: Understanding of safety procedures in high-risk work environments. Mandatory training includes Work Safely at Heights and Confined Space Entry.
* Medical Clearance: Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
* Working Rights: Full Working Rights in Australia.
