**About the Team;**
Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) is developing its Computational and Data Intensive Sciences (CDIS) and Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) capability areas supported by a new High Performance Computing (HPC) Centre, to enable DSTG to remain at the forefront of Defence research. DSTG's HPC will provide world class computational and data systems for cutting-edge advanced research, development, modelling, simulation and experimentation to optimise Defence platform design and operational performance, force development and optimisation, and to solve difficult and complex real-world Defence problems.
As a **Network Manager** you will have;
- Previous experience as an IT technical team lead, manager or supervisor.
- Experience and expertise in CISCO and Juniper network infrastructure and operating
systems (switches, routers, firewalls, IOS).
- Strong knowledge of security principles relating to network services and hardware.
- Experience and expertise in WAN topologies and configuration, including routing protocols and encryption
- Experience in use of network configuration tools such as CatTools and network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Desirable - experience or knowledge in F5 load balancers, VMWare NSX, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
