**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Financial Controller - Operations & Projects, the Credit Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of CMA CGM Group carrier’s Receivables debt for the Oceania Agencies. This is inclusive of freight, sundries and detention and demurrage transactions, Cash and Credit clients.
**The role and responsibilities will include**:
Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to effectively manage the credit risk of the organization
Review and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, including conducting credit checks and evaluating financial statements
Supervise and lead a team of credit control professionals, providing guidance and support in debt collection activities
Prepare regular reports and provide analysis on the status of outstanding debts, aging of accounts receivable, and overall credit control performance
Foster positive relationships with customers, maintaining open lines of communication to address any credit-related concerns
Continuously evaluate and improve credit control processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
Supervise direct reports and shared service team to ensure individual collection targets are achieved and that all receivable amounts regardless of value are actioned for collection
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
Degree qualified in finance/Accounting/Business
5-7 years’ experience in a similar role with specific focus on credit management, account management or customer relationship management
Advanced Excel skills
Experience in managing customer relationships and customer account management
Previous experience in managing a team would be desirable
High level of accuracy and diligence to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills and good influencing and negotiation skills
