We are seeking an experienced and caring Teacher Assistant for our Learning Enrichment Department in our High School to commence Term 1, 2026. About the role:
This vital role supports students with diverse learning needs across Years 7-12. The role involves working one-on-one and in small groups with students.
Working primarily within mainstream classrooms following a flexible daily timetable, providing targeted support across all subject areas, collaborating closely with classroom teachers and Learning Enrichment specialists. The role extends beyond the classroom to include supervision during breaks, support on excursions and sports events, and assistance in specialized learning environments including practical subjects like Hospitality and ITE.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' educational journeys while contributing to an inclusive learning environment. Responsible for maintaining accurate student records for NCCD purposes and supporting the tranquil, supportive atmosphere of our Learning Enrichment Department.
The role demands flexibility, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with additional learning needs in achieving their academic and personal goals. The position is permanent full time, Term Time only.

You are a compassionate and patient individual with a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs, you understand the importance of individualized support and creating inclusive learning environments.
You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and families. Your adaptable nature allows you to work effectively with frequently changing timetables and respond to varying student needs throughout the day. You demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for maintaining accurate student records and supporting multiple students across different year levels and subjects.
As a collaborative team player, you work seamlessly with classroom teachers and Learning Enrichment specialists to ensure consistent support strategies. Your calm and professional demeanour helps maintain a positive learning atmosphere, even in challenging situations. You have a current Working with Children Check and are committed to ongoing professional development in special education practices.
Previous experience in educational settings, knowledge of NCCD requirements, or qualifications in disability support, education, or related fields would be highly regarded.
