About the Role
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will lead payroll operations, ensuring compliance with industrial instruments and legislation. You will be the key point of contact for all payroll-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
* Process end-to-end payroll for both weekly and salaried staff.
* Manage payroll compliance in accordance with the Building and Construction Industry Awards and Fair Work legislation.
* Supervise payroll reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
* Interpret complex employment terms and resolve escalated payroll queries.
* Support internal stakeholders with employee onboarding and termination processes from a payroll perspective.
* Maintain and update employee data in the payroll system.
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, and operational leaders to ensure accurate and timely payroll service delivery.
* Drive improvements in payroll systems and processes, including implementation of best practices.
* Prepare reports for audits and external compliance requirements.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Proven experience in a senior payroll position, ideally within the construction, industrial services, or resources sectors.
* Expert knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and Fair Work compliance.
* Strong capability in interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
* A high level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
* Proficiency in payroll systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
