Machine Repair Technician
A skilled professional responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues with machinery, equipment, and instruments. Their expertise extends to repairing, maintaining, and testing a variety of machines and their functions.
The role is integral to the front line, requiring the ability to demonstrate proactive measures to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization and its customers.
* Identify and rectify machine malfunctions by employing diagnostic techniques.
* Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulic components and electronic instrumentation.
* Perform routine servicing and inspections on machines and equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve complex issues with diesel/petrol and gas-powered vehicles.
* Detect mechanical and electrical faults using various tools and instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out repairs and maintenance work in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
2. Use specialized tools and equipment, including oxy, electric, TIG, and MIG welding, to repair or replace faulty parts.
3. Conduct field servicing of equipment and machines, potentially involving interstate travel.
4. Account for all spare parts used during each job and submit accurate paperwork.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Possess extensive experience working with various machines and equipment.
* Have a moderate level of fitness and be able to work with oils, grease, and other fuels and chemicals.
* Be proficient in diagnostics and industry software.
* Hold a full driver's license.
* Good understanding of New Holland machinery or other major brands and accessories.
