The Role
CREST Education is seeking a passionate and skilled Instrumental Tutor (Brass) and Ensemble Director to join our Performing Arts team on a casual basis. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic music educator who is committed to inspiring students through the study, practice and performance of music within a vibrant school community.
The primary purpose of this position is to design and deliver high-quality instrumental tuition to students in class settings and to those who elect to participate in private lessons during school hours.
An Instrumental Music Tutor you will inspire and motivate students through the study, practice and performance of music, fostering both skill development and a love of ensemble participation.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
* Direct ensembles at College events
* Differentiate to support diverse learning needs
* Provide regular feedback and monitor student progress
* Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records
* Contribute to ensembles, rehearsals, concerts and College events
* Collaborate effectively with Performing Arts staff
* Uphold and model CREST's values and behaviours in all aspects of the role
About You
* Tertiary qualifications or significant industry experience in Music (Brass)
* Experience teaching individuals and small groups
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently
* Willingness to support performances and events outside normal hours
