We are currently seeking an experienced SMP SUPERVISOR to join our Darwin-based operations, supporting projects within the Oil & Gas sector. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing Structural, Mechanical and Piping works across maintenance, shutdown and project environments.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate SMP crews across site activities
* Oversee structural steel installation, mechanical equipment works and piping installation
* Ensure compliance with client specifications, drawings and QA/QC requirements
* Promote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with Oil & Gas standards
* Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and risk assessments
* Monitor productivity, labour allocation and material usage
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
* Support shutdown and maintenance planning where required
About You
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaking, or relevant discipline
* Proven experience supervising SMP works in the Oil & Gas sector
* Strong understanding of Australian Standards and site compliance requirements
* Experience in brownfield maintenance and/or shutdown environments (highly regarded)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and isometrics
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
