Wood is recruiting an E&I Construction Engineer to join our growing Operations business in Darwin, supporting one of our long-term client partners within the Oil & Gas industry on an established WA brownfields Engineering Service Contract.
Based in Darwin, this is a permanent role and is available as a full-time or part-time (job share) basis.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Construction & Commissioning Manager, you will join a dedicated client contract team.
To be successful, you will have prior construction experience in either Onshore or Offshore LNG within an EPCM engineering environment.
Scope of Work includes: Delivery of FEED deliverables associated with Construction activities; Creating access work packs; Input into construction feasibility studies; Providing inputs into constructability reviews, schedules and estimates; Coordinating with personnel offshore; Input into design and engineering to ensure Construction activities are optimized and the works scopes can be completed safely and efficiently.QualificationsSuitably qualified with a degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering (or a tertiary qualification supported with 5+ years of relevant industry experience).
Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role as an E&I Construction Engineer within a Brownfield EPC, ESC or EPCM environment, preferably within the Australian Oil & Gas / LNG industry.A demonstrated commitment to safetyExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills – both written and verbalPrevious experience in a role of construction engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined teamExperience of interpreting discipline documentationSound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs) and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS)Good knowledge and understanding of technical specificationsDesirableWhat will set you apart will be you are currently based in Darwin / willing to relocate to Darwin.
