**Overview**
Seeking an experienced Asset Officer to support our local community-controlled client. The organisation provides property management services for the Aboriginal Housing Office and other owners of Aboriginal community housing.
**Primary Purpose of the Position**
This position is responsible for repairs and maintenance to ensure community housing assets within our portfolio are well maintained and the lifespan of each property is maximised.
**Key accountabilities/responsibilities**
- Deliver a high-quality repairs and maintenance services for tenant and our partner organisations that provides value for money and maximises expenditure to Aboriginal businesses.
- Monitor asset inventory and conduct routine property and asset inspections to monitor property condition and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Many Rivers registered trades.
- Support the delivery of all upgrade projects, planned maintenance schedules and new build projects.
- Support in the management of insurance claims.
**Essential Criteria**
- Relevant qualifications or experience in trade qualification, construction projects, asset management and housing.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong customer service, relationship management and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft suite.
- Ability and willingness to travel (including overnight stays).
- Current NSW driver's licence.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reference checks.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
