Overview
Opportunity for a Consultant Paediatrician to play a central role in shaping paediatric services across a large regional catchment in South Australia's south-east. Working within a well-established multidisciplinary model, you will provide specialist paediatric care across inpatient, outpatient and neonatal services, while contributing to service development for a growing paediatric population. The role offers scope across general paediatrics, neonatal stabilisation and developmental or community paediatrics, with strong links to tertiary referral centres. This temporary full-time position provides meaningful clinical variety and leadership within a regional referral service.
The Benefits
* Indicative Total Remuneration (MD2): $541,772.60 – $746,891.60 p.a.
* Temporary full-time contract through to 5 March 2027 with rostered clinical variety

The Location
Located in South Australia's south-east, this regional centre sits within easy reach of Adelaide while offering immediate access to coastline, national parks and renowned wine regions. The Facility
The hospital is the major regional referral centre for the south-east, serving a catchment of more than 70,000 people across South Australia and western Victoria. The facility manages over 20,000 emergency presentations annually and provides a broad range of acute medical, surgical, obstetric and specialist services. Paediatric services support inpatient care, outpatient clinics, neonatal stabilisation and regional outreach, with ongoing demand driving service expansion and continued development of specialist models of care.
The Requirements
* Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics and Child Health or equivalent specialist qualification
* Eligible for Specialist Registration or assessed as substantially comparable via RACP pathway
* IMG candidates completing Peer Review or Require Peer Review are encouraged to apply
