Willetton Senior High School is one of the largest schools in Western Australia, with a student population in excess of 2700, approximately 230 teaching staff and 145 support staff on campus. As a key member of the School Leadership Team, the successful applicant will play an integral role in implementing the school's Business Plan, leading the Arts learning area, and fostering innovative, data-informed teaching practices. Responsibilities include curriculum leadership, staff development, resource management, and strategic planning to improve student outcomes across Dance, Drama, Media, Music, and Visual Arts.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator with leadership experience within an Arts department, possessing a comprehensive understanding of the Western Australian Arts curriculum (K–10, senior courses, and certificates), and proven ability to develop inclusive, challenging learning programs. The role involves overseeing planning, assessment, and reporting aligned with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority, and managing operational aspects such as budgets and resources.
