Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Joint Venture Advisor to provide support across all Offshore JV partnerships, within our Asset Performance team.
This is a great opportunity to have visibility over our offshore business activities as you liaise between operations, technical, commercial, legal, finance, JV partners and related teams to drive commercial success and continue to ensure successful JV relationships. A well-rounded role, you will undertake and support key decision-making processes, strategic thinking and operational activities to deliver on Beach Energy's objectives.
About the Role
Reporting to the Asset Performance Manager, you will assist in devising strategies to achieve commercial outcomes for Beach Energy and our JV partners.
Responsibilities will include:
* Facilitate the preparation and submission of JV communications including correspondence, reports, resolutions, notices, AFEs and agreements.
* Enhance the reporting and accountability of Beach operated JVs.
* Assist in the management of JV negotiations and decision framing processes and provide commercial advice across the functions supporting JV operations.
* Identify risks/gaps in the existing agreements and develop strategies and tactics to protect or create value for Beach, including proposing and implementing changes.
* Ensure Joint Operating Agreements are managed effectively, and obligations, reporting, deliverables and timeframes are concisely communicated to relevant internal stakeholders.
* Act as the primary contact with our JV partners
About You
As an experienced Joint Venture Advisor, you will bring business acumen and joint venture knowledge, ideally from the ANZ Oil and Gas sector. Additionally:
* Tertiary qualifications in Commercial, Technical or Business, and/or equivalent industry experience.
* Proven experience in Joint Venture management, commercial operations, or a similar role.
* Strong understanding of Joint Operating Agreements (JOA) and Delegation of Authority (DOA) processes.
* Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.
* Be flexible and adaptable to changing situations, managing priorities, and be open to incorporating new approaches.
* Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to successfully deal with external parties, particularly in relation to sensitive and complex issues.
