Geologist - Sydney
We are seeking an experienced geologist to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree in geology, engineering or a related field and at least 8 months of on-site experience in construction.
Job Description:
* Provide daily geological and engineering advice on rock mass classification.
* Issue site mapping documentation and issue recommendations in accordance with project requirements.
* Partake in the Permit to Excavate/Tunnel and trenching process.
* Coordinate with engineers and supervisors on design drawings, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project.
* Forecast geological and engineering conditions in accordance with proof mapping.
* Undertake rock stability analysis of rock cuts, slopes and underground excavations.
* Facilitate internal and external engineers by developing and improving internal auditing systems and processes.
* Slope stability assessments, underground mapping, underground design review.
* Compile monthly reporting of geological mapping of excavation of tunnels, shafts and caverns.
Requirements:
* White Card.
* Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Geology, Geoscience, Mining, or related field.
* Minimum 8 months on-site experience in any construction field.
* Presentation of an open personality and a desire to be part of a team and challenge themselves.
