_Collgar Wind Farm is a $750 million renewable power project at Merredin in Western Australia's central Wheatbelt. Collgar is owned by Australia's largest superannuation fund the Retail Employees Superannuation (REST),_
- Collgar Wind Farm has 111 turbines and is spread over 18,000Ha with a power production capacity of 220MW. The Company generates and delivers clean, renewable electricity into the SWIS each year, making a major contribution to Western Australia's greenhouse gas reductions._
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Program/ Project Administrator to join our Business Development team, on a permanent full-time basis. The role which is based in Perth reports to the Head of Business Development and is accountable for the progression of assigned opportunities and development projects through all phases including opportunity identification, qualification and definition, pre-feasibility and financial close. Key elements of the role include:
- Project development activities from opportunity identification to financial close
- Developing, reviewing and negotiating contracts, projects and services
- Market outlook including knowledge of electricity market reforms/rules
- Analysis supporting feasibility studies and business case development and reporting
- Support in identifying, generating and developing commercial renewable energy opportunities
- Technical knowledge of renewable energy projects and operations
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement including the Collgar Executive Management team and Board
- Project development risk management
- Collaboration with engineers, consultants, analysts and others to deliver project objectives
- Oversight and management of work delivered by consultants and contractors in progressing new projects
This role would suit someone who has at least three years of relevant experience in addition to formal qualifications. The individual must also demonstrate the following:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a renewable energy project development environment
- Able to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Time management and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and actions are closed out in reasonable time-frames.
- High level of independent thinking and the ability to deliver optimal results with mínimal oversight.
- Strong MS Office computer skills.
