**About the role**
The successful applicant will join our dynamic dental team in the provision of high-quality dental services to the local community. This position will be based in our new state of the art clinic in Sebastopol, but the successful applicant may be required to work from time to time at one of our other clinics. You will be joining an experienced and dedicated public dental team and have the support of many experienced staff members.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Preparing fillings and other materials
- Providing support and reassurance to patient
- Sterilising instruments and tracking
- Following Infection Control Guidelines
- Tidying and cleaning the dental surgery
- Supporting the dental team
**Skills and experience**
- Possess a formally recognized tertiary qualifications in Dental Assisting e.g. Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental assisting and infection control
- Access to reliable transport
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuing personal and professional development.
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative.
- Ability to maintain high standards of work, with a focus on quality.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Possess sound time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility in work locations and hours of duty.
- Capacity to work in a range of clinical environments.
- Demonstrate an advanced level of clinical competence and broad relevant experience in all aspects of dentistry delivered through public, private and specialist providers.
- Demonstrate a high level of patient management and liaison skills.
