• Uplift plant performance for clients in Mining, Power, Utilities, and Renewables sectors What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Automation Systems Engineer in the Smart Manufacturing and Operations team, you will provide exceptional client service and apply your experience to:
• The design, development, and delivery of automation solutions across [industry – e.g., mining, energy, manufacturing, utilities].

• Provide technical support to a team of automation engineers and drive best practices in system integration and controls.

• Implement high quality solutions using engineering applications for MES, Historian, DCS SCADA, networks, PLCs, RTUs.

• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient solutions
• Carry out internal and customer witness testing
• Support on site commissioning
• Understand and deliver on your responsibilities with regards to HSEQ
• Ensure high-quality outcomes for our clients by maintaining a strong commitment to excellence, supporting their business objectives.

• Work with leaders to discover new market opportunities and prepare proposals and scope and be accountable for new client engagements.

• Undertake extensive strategy, operations and transformation focused training and development (both structured and on the job).

• Provide ongoing mentoring and assistance for staff in all areas of engineering design and job responsibilities

You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:
• Demonstrated experience in delivering complex smart manufacturing and operations projects in a client facing/advisory role.

• Extensive experience in delivering technologies including Edge to Enterprise IIOT, PLC, SCADA, MES, ERP integration, and Industrial Information management.

• Have a degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechatronics Engineering (or similar), or relevant industry experience.

• Strategic and critical thinking capabilities, with a deep understanding of the challenges facing organisations in their pursuit of smart manufacturing and operations transformation.

• Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to articulate complex ideas and arguments effectively, both at executive and working level.

• Proven ability to manage and develop strong and enduring business relationships with senior clients.

• Experience in leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others, as well as self.

• Strong and adaptable facilitation and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple streams of work and drive projects to successful completion.

• Be an Australian citizen with the willingness to apply for Defence security clearance.

• Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and/or DCS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Ignition)Minimum of 5 years engineering experience
