About the role
As our next packing shed supervisor, you will supervise, and direct packing shed staff to ensure produce is packed efficiently with a focus on quality, safety, and food safety.
Responsibilities
* Prepare appropriate machinery and equipment for daily duties.
* Ensure all machinery adheres to food safety requirements.
* Supervise shed operations.
* Direct, support, and monitor a team of approximately 15 employees to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant work practices.
* Clean and maintain end‐of‐line equipment.
* Maintain packaging consumable stock levels.
* Complete incident and hazard reports as required.
Qualifications and Attributes
Our ideal candidate will be required to have the following attributes:
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Minimum of 1‐2 years supervisory or leadership experience.
* Basic understanding of food safety principles and requirements.
* Proven ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast‐paced environment.
* Willingness to learn and improve.
* Comfortable with change and taking a hands‐on approach.
* Great team player with a can‐do attitude.
* Excellent problem‐solving and analytical skills.
* Proactive thinking.
* Have a positive attitude and take direction well.
