About the Opportunity
This role is reporting to the National Safety Manager and involves providing leadership, coaching and support to implement the National Health and Safety plan initiatives at an operational level. You will facilitate and model a safety leadership style that demonstrates our priority for health and safety. You will provide a consultancy, coaching and support service to managers and supervisors on safety and health.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the development of line management and supervisor health & safety capability, ensuring safety and health systems and processes are understood and implemented effectively by the line, monitoring and measuring risk assessments, investigations and audits, and assisting line management with safety incident investigations and hazard identification.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need a relevant qualification and/or a commensurate level of experience, previous experience in a safety or related leadership role, knowledge of OH&S legislation and practices, and demonstrated ability to drive and promote a zero-harm culture. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills are also required, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and functions. Willingness to regularly travel to Echuca is also necessary.
