We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and community-focused Animal Management Engagement Officer to join our team
What You Will Do:
As the Animal Management Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the connection between our community and Council's Animal Management services. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of both people and animals through education, outreach, and strategic engagement.
In this dynamic role, you will develop and lead a range of initiatives that promote responsible pet ownership, raise awareness of animal-related issues, and enhance the perception of Council's Animal Management operations - including the Animal Care & Education (ACE) facility, proactive patrols, and rehoming programs.
Whether it is delivering training to staff and stakeholders, coordinating community education materials, or helping connect volunteers and residents to our animal welfare services, your efforts will directly support public safety, animal wellbeing, and stronger community partnerships.
What We Are Looking For:
* Tertiary qualification relevant to the position and/or previous demonstrated experience within a similar role.
* Current Working with Children Clearance, or ability to obtain.
* Demonstrated experience in the development of education or marketing resources.
* Demonstrated proficiency in developing and delivery of education programs to internal and external stakeholders, including schools and community groups.
* Well-developed knowledge and experience with related tools, techniques, technology platforms, social media and diverse processes to drive and enhance community engagement and project management.
* Highly developed administrative, research and report writing, presentation and negotiation skills.
