Finance Analyst – 12-Month Contract (Independent Contractor) Full-time | 3 Days in Office Day Rate – $1000-$1300 (Negotiable for the right candidate) We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join a major integration program within the utilities sector. This is a 12-month contract for an independent contractor (ABN, ACN and insurances required). The role is full-time, with three days in the office, two from home. You’ll need to be able to hit the ground running, make confident decisions, and clearly back your recommendations with commercial reasoning. This is a hands-on role with high visibility across the business, including direct interaction with senior stakeholders like the CFO. Key responsibilities include: Driving synergy tracking across all program workstreams Supporting system rationalisation initiatives aligned to cost-saving goals Consolidating and reporting on synergy targets and delivery across the program timeline Analysing program cost performance, identifying trends, and flagging areas for improvement Investigating charges and resolving finance issues as they arise Assisting with PMO activity – onboarding/offboarding and variation management Responding to finance queries linked to the program What we’re looking for: Strong finance background at a senior level Experience in the utilities or construction sector Proven capability in project or program-based environments CPA (or equivalent) and relevant tertiary qualifications Comfortable working independently and navigating complex program structures Clear, commercially-minded decision making – especially when presenting to the CFO At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
