Offer description

You will be delivering training and assessment for RII***** Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations and RII***** Certificate II in Civil Construction.
Delivery is through TAG operated RTOs; Mining Transport and Construction Services Pty Ltd (RTO ID *****), and Australian Business and Vocational Training (RTO ID *****) and includes both theory and practical activities.
Core responsibilities include:
Undertake duties related to training and assessing the accredited courses offered by TAG according to the organisation's policies and procedures.
Provide training, facilitation and feedback that engages and supports the student to progress through their course as per their training plan and or course schedule.
Deliver training to the agreed course delivery schedule.
Report attendance in a timely manner to the Administration staff.
Completion of assessment to a compliant standard, including the use of marking guides and review of assessment prior to submission to Student Administration.
Assess and address the varied learning needs of each student including LLN.
Engage and retain students so that they successfully complete the course.
Establish and maintain regular two way communication with students using range of appropriate communication methods including student surveys.
Comply with organisational requirements for the provision of relevant feedback to students and the completion of records within specified timelines.
Actively participate in staff meetings, moderation and validation meetings.
Update and maintain industry currency relevant to the course being delivered and assessed.
Undertake all professional development required by the organisation and to retain industry currency.
Undertake professional development in the skills of Training and Assessment
Maintain a Professional Development Log and trainer skills matrix as required by the organisation.
Attending team meeting when required or requested.
Providing written feedback to students as required.
Skills & Experience:
All trainers must possess the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or higher.
Candidates willing to obtain Certificate IV in Training & Assessment with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations
Relevant and current vocational industry currency (minimum of 3 years' experience in the industry sector).
Experience delivering relevant and engaging training in a classroom and workplace settings to a diverse range of students.
Ability to successfully provide a National Police clearance and Working with Children check.
Sound verbal and written communication skills.
Good administration skills including using Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a team.
