Project Officer – Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria

Project Officer
role at Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria. This fixed-term, full-time position is based in Melbourne and runs through to 30 June ****.
Opportunity
Fixed-term, full-time position through to 30 June ****, based in Melbourne.
VPS Grade 4: $97,955 – $111,142 per year plus superannuation.
Assist in developing and implementing efficient delivery processes through innovative solutions and options.
Create and maintain templates and tools, administrative systems and processes to assist with the timely delivery of accurate and high-quality project deliverables, including reports and business cases.
Support the development of high-level and authoritative advice on complex and potentially sensitive matters, to support the strategic delivery of priority operational projects.
Effectively represent Youth Justice and the DJCS at relevant forums, both within and outside government, maintaining the professional reputation of Youth Justice.
Work locations include 121 Exhibition Street Melbourne and Youth Justice Precincts or Justice Service Centres as required (hybrid arrangement with remote working as agreed).
Responsibilities
Provide specialist support to Statewide Rehabilitation Services to develop and deliver high priority project deliverables.
Deliver strategic policy and project advice to support the implementation of government priorities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience in or knowledge of the Youth Justice Custodial or Community environment.
Experience in or knowledge of Victorian Government administrative processes.
High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
Current full driver's licence is required as travel to other offices within the department may be required.
Must obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check for the period of employment.
