Clinical Leadership Role
The purpose of this position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a healthcare setting.
This involves employing advanced clinical skills and exercising extended autonomy of decision making, working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.
* Monitor and analyse patient length of stay and time to care.
* Report relevant data to appropriate committees and follow established escalation processes.
* Maintain and monitor key performance indicators and hospital admission targets.
* Identify and implement strategies to improve patient flow and operational efficiency.
* Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for nursing staff.
* Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise in emergency nursing and a strong understanding of patient flow and journey processes.
Responsibilities
1. To work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
2. To identify opportunities for improving patient outcomes and operational performance in a fast-paced environment.
3. To demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
4. To participate in change management initiatives aimed at enhancing the patient journey.
Requirements
* A current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage complex clinical care needs.
