This is an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our Home Care team You will implement allied health programs designed by our dedicated team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists, supporting clients to achieve their health and wellbeing goals and remain independent. The role includes facilitation and delivery of in-home sessions as well as group programs.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Providing service delivery as per client care plans within the relevant Model of Care including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and other disciplines
Facilitating and supporting in-home and/or group activities & programs, e.g., health and wellness exercise program
Managing time effectively to ensure all services are delivered as outlined
Supporting client goals through intervention outlined in the Care Plan
Developing & maintaining client motivation to live their best life
Following the client's lead to identify opportunities to further enhance quality of life and choices
Capturing feedback from clients and reporting on progress towards client set goals
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate 3 or 4 Allied Health Assistance or 2 years of study in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
Experience as an Allied Health Assistant desirable (but not essential)
Previous experience working in aged or community services sector
Ability to problem solve & offer solutions
Passion for improving clients' health, wellbeing and independence and an interest in exercise and health programs
Computer literacy and efficiency in Microsoft Office
Current NSW Driver's licence and registered and insured motor vehicle
