The opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established and experienced Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll play a critical role in our global operations — owning financial control, statutory compliance and high-quality reporting while partnering closely with leaders. You’ll also provide transitional support alongside the outgoing Finance Manager to ensure continuity as we scale.
You will be responsible for;
- Month-end and reporting: Own close of the SAP general ledger; deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements aligned with AASB/IFRS.
- Audit and compliance: Lead external audit and maintain robust internal controls, tax and regulatory compliance.
- Foreign exchange management and treasury: Manage foreign currency transactions and risk, including establishing and settling foreign exchange management activities.
- Business partnering: Provide clear insights to CFO, CEO and leaders across Operations, R&D; and Sales; support board and governance reporting.
- Systems oversight: Optimise SAP (Business One) for accounting/reporting/audit; oversee Employment Hero and our bespoke internal ‘Hours’ system for payroll, leave and employee records; ensuring effective integrations.
- Leadership and transition: Work alongside the transitioning Finance Manager; mentor finance team members; drive process and reporting improvements.
About you
Tertiary Qualification in Accounting/Finance/Commerce; CA/CPA (or progression).
Senior experience in financial accounting/reporting, ideally within global manufacturing/technical environments.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax and regulatory frameworks; proven audit management and internal controls.
Hands-on with SAP (essential) preferably ‘Business One’; bespoke time capture systems; oversight of Employment Hero or similar HRIS/payroll.
Experience with foreign exchange, international reporting and cross-border compliance.
Cooperative communicator with senior stakeholders (CFO/CEO/Board); analytical, commercially astute and improvement-focused.

Timely, accurate month-end and leadership reporting.
Seamless transition from the outgoing Finance Manager with no compliance/ reporting disruption.
Effective oversight of SAP ‘Business One’ and Employment Hero with uplifted processes and data integrity.
Annual audit completed with minimal adjustments; improved reporting frameworks for decision-making; strong support to CFO on board/governance reporting; tangible control, payroll accuracy and compliance improvements.
