Late May until the end of August, with a clean handover when the permanent CFO starts.
In that window there will be two live acquisitions underway. So if you want a real seat at the table during a genuine inflection point, this is for you!
You will be working with one of Australia's leading infrastructure and energy services businesses. They are privately owned, over $150m+ in annual revenue and employees across multi-site national operations.
You'll report directly to the Managing Director and lead a finance team of 12. You will take ownership across financial leadership, commercial operations, governance and banking relationships.
This is not a sit on your hands and just keep things ticking over, type contract. In your three months you'll be:
* In the room on M&A due diligence, capital allocation and integration planning
* Owning budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, audit and compliance
* Holding revenue and cost centre leaders accountable for WIP, job costing and project margin
* Acting as Company Secretary and Public Officer across governance, risk, audit, cyber and insurance
* Coaching a 12-strong finance team — and leaving the capability stronger than you found it
You won't be sitting behind a desk. You'll be on the floor, on the sites and in the projects.
What you'll bring
* A track record as a CFO or senior finance leader in construction, engineering, infrastructure or industrial services - Non-negotiable
* Deep WIP reporting, job costing and margin management expertise in complex, project-based environments - Non-negotiable
* Capital events or M&A experience - Non-negotiable
* Strong cashflow, working capital and lender relationship credentials
* CA or CPA qualified
* The temperament for an interim assignment. Able to get up to speed quickly, build trust and get it done
