Lead Animal Care Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Lead Animal Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing support and mentor junior nurses and students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver excellent nursing care for small animals and exotics.
* Assist with surgery, anaesthetic monitoring, diagnostics, hospital patients, and post-operative care.
* Provide client education and support, building trust with pet owners.
* Support veterinarians in all aspects of patient care.
* Mentor and guide junior nurses and students.
* Contribute to team coordination and stock management.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
* Minimum 4–5 years' experience in a veterinary nursing role.
* Leadership or team management experience is desirable.
* Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused approach.
* Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
* Confidence in mentoring and supporting colleagues.
