Team Leader Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Child & Family Care professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care. Our youth residential program provides care and intensive support to children and young people with diverse needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of senior youth workers and youth workers, ensuring individual needs are met while promoting cultural safety and competence.
* Overseeing daily operations of Child & Family Care services, including monitoring and supporting youth workers, safety checks, property cleanliness, behavior support plans, and compliance.
* Ensuring all team members are trained and up-to-date with procedures and regulations.
* Providing support and guidance to staff as needed.
* Reporting concerns or incidents to management.
* Delivering excellent customer service to stakeholders.
* Maintaining professional boundaries and accurate records.
* Facilitating team meetings and professional development.
* Supporting children and young people with their individual care plans and goals.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
* A minimum or equivalent of a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention for Residential Care.
* Positive attitude and effective communication skills.
* Computer literacy with accurate record management.
* Experience working in a team environment and problem-solving skills.
* Consistency in following policies and procedures.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and individuals.
* Availability for on-call support and willingness to travel across sites.

* Current P1 'C' class Queensland driver's license.
* Fully registered, roadworthy, and comprehensive vehicle.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates or ability to obtain them.
* Blue Card (Working with Children) or ability to obtain one.
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain it.
* Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You.'
