Role Overview
The Corporate General Manager will lead the luxury beauty business, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight. They will be responsible for developing organisational policies, setting strategic objectives, and establishing performance standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily operations, provide leadership, and formulate policies to achieve goals, drive efficiency, and maximise profitability.
2. Monitor changing circumstances and issue instructions or decisions to staff as needed.
3. Collaborate with senior managers and department heads on operational procedures, equipment needs, financial planning, sales strategies, and human resources.
4. Approve funding for major policy initiatives and implementation programs.
5. Act as the organisation's representative at formal events, negotiations, conferences, public hearings, and maintain communication across departments.
6. Prepare or coordinate the preparation of reports, budgets, and forecasts for presentation to executive boards or governing bodies.
7. Appoint and evaluate the performance of senior executives and key personnel.
May also be responsible for specific operational areas such as finance, sales, marketing, HR, or other specialised functions.
Requirements:
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
2. Minimum of twelve (12) years of proven managerial experience in the luxury beauty industry, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams and driving business growth.
3. Strong understanding of strategic planning, financial oversight, operational management, and stakeholder engagement.
4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire teams and manage cross-functional departments.
5. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in complex and changing environments.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience presenting to Boards or external stakeholders.
