Keppel Bay Sailing Club (KBSC) is seeking a reliable and hands-on FacilitiesOfficer to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our diverse venues and assets.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role plays a key part in maintaining KBSC infrastructure, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
About the Role
The Facilities Officer assists with preventative and reactive maintenance across all KBSC venues, working closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors. The role supports asset management, compliance, and operational continuity, with a strong focus on safety, presentation, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate records of asset warranties, service agreements, and maintenance contracts.
* Assist with the implementation and monitoring of preventative maintenance programs for machinery, plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
* Record and track servicing, inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
* Identify maintenance issues and coordinate repairs and breakdown responses with approved contractors.
* Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks within skill level and authority.
* Liaise with the Facilities Manager, General Manager, and Venue Managers to prioritise and review maintenance needs.
* Oversee tradespersons and contractors onsite to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, Club policies, and safe work practices.
* Demonstrate an understanding of stock-related processes including incoming deliveries, transfers, and stocktake support where required.
* Maintain operational knowledge of alcohol transfers, cellar systems, and keg beer infrastructure, including beer lines, pipework, cooling systems, and associated equipment, and report faults promptly.
* Perform other duties as reasonably directed within the scope of the role.

What We're Looking For
Knowledge & Experience
* Sound understanding of relevant WHS legislation and compliance requirements.
* Familiarity with maintenance systems, asset registers, and service schedules.
* Understanding of manual handling techniques and safe work practices.
* Awareness of industry standards and best practices in facilities or asset management.

Qualifications & Licences
* Current Queensland Driver's Licence.
* Forklift Licence.
* First Aid Certificate.
* Certificate in Horticulture, Logistics, Facilities Management, or a related qualification (desirable)
