Your Role
Monitor & collect amounts as they fall due on behalf of the Company in relation to the supply of goods and services to assist in the management of the Company's receivables.
Uphold and maintain corporate credit policies and communicate same to internal & external Customers.
Review Customer Payment performance in line with Electrolux Local & Global policy, and Credit Insurance policies, including Electrolux Risk Management Module process.
A Typical Day
Managing the Electrolux (NZ) Ltd portfolio, your everyday work duties can vary considerably, there are some activities that you will usually do, they include:
Effective Telephone Collections
Continual follow-up with Customer and relevant key sales personnel in relation to Customer payment performance and debt collection whilst building Customer rapport.
Review Orders on Hold
Review orders regularly
Review & follow up with the Customer and or Sales representative to ensure the credit & terms criteria is met for orders to be released eg payment received, performance reviewed.
Debt Exceeding Terms
Ensure our Customers adhere to our payment terms and address the culture of those Customers who do not.
Liaise with external contacts for trends & identify possible outside influences that impact company debt.
Continual review and streamlining of current systems and processes
Liaise with Sales force and Management for prompt resolution of customer claims eg Rebates, Pricing and Advertising
Closure of Delinquent Accounts
Downgrade and block Customer's from further trade. Issue relevant Notices for prompt retention of stock and or issue notice for legal action as and when required.
Complete ad-hoc reconciliations Customer accounts as required
Reconcile & document follow up and actions on required reconciliations. Submit same to the customers where appropriate. Highlight & resolve all outstanding amounts, claims and queries.
Customer personal visits will be required to maintain healthy relationships and resolve any issues & disputes.
Review Customer's credit terms & credit risk regularly.
New accounts are to be reviewed every three months until a positive payment and risk trend appears.
Established accounts, review current credit limits, utilized Electrolux Risk Module, and amend where necessary in line with Electrolux and Credit Insurance credit policies.
Customer visits
Monthly reports for accounts in disputes, details of action taken and submitted to Credit Supervisor
Address and maintain objectives and when identified that have an impact on the overall incumbent's & or team's role. All departments and business cultures are continuously evolving and the incumbent needs to be prepared to evolve in accordance with the direct requirements of Electrolux as and when required by Electrolux
