Who are we?
The Kids' Uni Early Intervention service is part of Kids' Uni at UOW Pulse. Kids' Uni Early Intervention was founded in 2020 to support families with young neurodiverse children in the Illawarra and facilitate strong inclusion practices at Early Education settings. We provide an individualised therapy services to children and their families within the early and formative years and promote a holistic approach that focuses on the participation and inclusion of each child within their family and community.
The role
The team are seeking an enthusiastic speech therapy assistant who will provide support to our qualified speech pathologists and work within an engaging environment with a team of Educators and Allied Health professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to work among a team of clinicians who are passionate about early childhood and the positive influence therapy can have in these pivotal early years. This is a casual position based at the University of Wollongong and is suitable for someone who is currently studying a speech therapy qualification.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting with 1:1 therapy for children with developmental disabilities in clinic, home visits and preschools, under Medicare and NDIS plans.
* Providing assistance with speech therapy services to children with speech and language needs at Kids' Uni Early Education Services.

What you'll need to apply
* Currently studying speech pathology
* A passion for providing high quality services to young children and their families
* Dedication to work towards obtaining experience working with children with neuro-developmental disabilities.
* Current NSW Working with Children Check and Driver License
