Mount Martha Preschool is a well-established child focused, community run kindergarten, offering an evidence based sessional kinder program for both 3- and 4-year-olds and is highly regarded within the Mount Martha community. Wages and conditions reflect VECTEA 2020 46/52 model which pays through the school holidays.

**Description**
We currently have an opportunity for a **Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator** to become involved in our small settled 4yo groups in a **part-time lunch cover position**. This will be an **ongoing role into 2026** and due to a change in timetable **additional hours** will be possible. You will be primarily responsible for supporting and assisting the teachers and other educators of our 4-year-old groups. This role will include involvement in and supervision of the children at outdoor play, learning experiences with indoor activities, assisting with lunch and providing lunch break support for staff, set up/pack away of play activities, working with children with additional needs, maintaining a safe and clean environment which may include sweeping/mopping/cleaning sinks and children's toilets, wiping benches and general tidying. As the successful applicant you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and confidently assist in the delivery of a high quality and diverse educational program. You will have a working knowledge of the VEYLDF, The National Quality Standards and The Child Safe Standards. Mount Martha Preschool is a shared service so you must recognise the importance of operating efficiently and demonstrate effective time management skills. You will have a commitment to ongoing reflective practice and contribute collaboratively to a professional team and organisational culture. You will attend and actively participate in staff meetings and ongoing paid professional development opportunities as appropriate or as directed by Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor. You will belong to an organisation with strong values, ethics and commitment to children and their families. **Qualifications**
Preferably with a minimum of 12 months experience as a **Diploma** Educator, you will be passionate about authentic indoor and outdoor play programs and comfortable working with both our children and their families in a warm and trusting manner. A current understanding of NQS and Child Safe Standards is a must. First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Asthma/Mandatory Reporting
