About the Role
As Distribution Centre Manager, you will have end‑to‑end responsibility for the day‑to‑day leadership and performance of the Yatala Distribution Centre. You will lead a team of Supervisors and frontline leaders, ensuring the operation is safe, efficient and customer‑focused across all shifts.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, requiring visible presence on the floor, confident decision‑making and strong engagement with operational, safety and support teams.
This is a full‑time, site‑based role, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the site safety leader, with clear accountability for WHS performance, risk management, incident reporting and injury prevention
* Lead, coach and develop Supervisors to deliver consistent, safe and efficient warehouse operations
* Execution and provision of outstanding service to our customers (on time, fragile items packaged correctly to avoid damages).
* Drive a strong safety culture by embedding safe systems of work, training, inspections and compliance across employees, contractors and visitors
* Ensure warehouse receiving/put away, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities are executed accurately, safely and on time
* Maintain an efficient warehouse layout, housekeeping standards and traffic management controls
* Manage operational performance against service, cost, safety and inventory KPIs
* Oversee stock accuracy, inventory control and stock transfers to support customer service outcomes
* Ensure warehouse procedures are clearly understood and consistently applied
* Build a high‑engagement, accountable team culture aligned with Reward Hospitality’s values
About You
You are an experienced Distribution Centre or Warehouse Manager with a strong track record of leading people and owning safety outcomes, not just compliance.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience leading a sizeable DC or warehouse operation
* Strong people leadership capability, including developing supervisors and leading through change
* Ability to build strong partnerships with transport providers enhancing service and minimising cost.
* Leadership through change on key projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Proven experience managing WHS in a high‑risk operational environment (manual handling, plant, forklifts, dangerous goods and chemicals)
* Well‑developed planning, organising and decision‑making skills
* Clear communication skills and the ability to set expectations and hold teams accountable
* Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); implementation experience highly regarded
* Sound computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Pronto or similar systems desirable
* A current forklift licence
* First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to be locally based to support afternoon and night shift requirements when needed
